Cover Songs...

So... if you don't know what a Cover Song is, its pretty much a song an artist already has out and another artist covers it, (as in sings the same song) and either uploads it on their http://www.purevolume.com/ and/or their Myspace band page. Some of my favorite cover songs are:

These are just some of the many great cover songs out there. So for now, every post that has to do with music, I'm going to match my music player to the artist(s) that I'm talking about. I feel this will be a faster and easier for you guys to listen to their music. This week will be cover songs that I feel you might like. So listen to the music, and hey, you might find a new favorite band or song. :)

Thoughts.

So lately I've been thinking a lot about lyrics and music. A few days ago I was looking at lyrics to a song and I didn't know who the band was nor have I ever heard this song, so I was reading the lyrics and I mean they were really good and touching. Long story short, I went and searched the song on You Tube and it was like, I don't know, like it was just really bad screamo song. I'm not going to mention the bands name because, well that would be kinda rude and very unprofessional. Ha-ha. I ended up thinking how lyrics are are really the unimportant to a song. Well not always, what I mean is that most people like a song because of its beat or just because they like it. There's a band that has really strong lyrics and I just love them. The Bands is, The Scene Aesthetic. They sing this one song, "Humans" and the lyrics are like so beautiful. Lately Never Shout Never has been writing songs of either personal life experiences or poetry.
I think that's really cool, because having such great lyrics in a song make that great song so much

If you don't know Christofer Drew (Never Shout Never) that much, he's really into peace, making the
world a better place and love. So you might notice that in some of his music or poems he talks a lot about
that kind of stuff. I really hope you check some of Never Shout Never lyrics/ poems out, he's truly amazing
and I think you'll really enjoy his special talent that he shares with the world.

Well...

I just posted a blog this morning... But I need to do this for my DWL.
So I thought I would just randomly make up something that uses our 4 new vocabulary words... (:

I watched a movie yesterday... (Ha) and it was about this boy who was CRAZY! He always paroxysm at everything. So one day he was sitting in his closet because he was so bilk, but decided to exude from his closet, and watched a movie but it was so hard for him to cull. He ended up watching some action movie...
Haha sorry. It's lame...

Two Super Rad Concerts This Week!!

All Time Low, We The Kings, Hey Monday and The Friday Night Boys will be playing here in Murray Utah! I'm super excited because I get to go! (: I'll post a site where you can go and look at the pictures of the concert (if they turn out good).
Also The White Tie Affair, Every Avenue, Stereo Skyline and Runner Runner will be playing their show in Murray Utah (same venue) on friday. It's 12 dollars and yeah, it's going to be a fun show!

All Time Low: All Time Low is such a great band to listen to if your in a great mood or if your in no mood, they are still a good band to listen to. If you haven't heard of them, your crazy. No I'm kidding, but you haven't totally check out their music here's their Myspace Band page if your interested. http://www.myspace.com/alltimelow Also if your wanting to know about the band there is a Q&A on the Myspace page. All Time Low is a Alternative band, so if your into Alternative totally check them out. Also if your interested, All Time Low will be play in Utah at the Murray Theater, November 18th and I believe they still have tickets available. So go! It will be a blast!

I really think you should check out their Myspace because, it has information on the band, you can listen to their amazing music and check up coming tour dates to see if they are coming to a venue near you. Unfortunately they aren't coming to Utah but there's always next tour! (: Trust me on this one, you will be sorry if you don't check them out!

Unknown Bands- you all should check out!

Love is a Story: I must say, Love is a Story is amazing! If your into the whole Emotronic/Pop/ Electronica, then you will fall in love with Love is a Story. This guy is amazing and has serious talent. I really advise you to check him out! He's on iTunes too! Scream!Shout!Love: Scream! Shout! Love. is  a one man band led by Zach Dyke. Dyke has a lot of talent and plays everything himself. He is currently Finishing up a EP and is also doing a free EP of covers of  The Beatles. He's such a Sweet guy and has a lot of potential to become big someday. Saige:  Saige has a wonderful voice. He is an amazing vocalist. He has a new single out, "Taken Over Me" and you can take a listen on his Myspace. The Summer Set Concert

This concert was September 25th, at the SHO theater, (inside of Murray Theater). 
Bands that opened for them were:

• Eye.dee.kay is from Herriman Utah, and for being new to whole music thing they are really good. http://www.myspace.com/eyedeekayutah I insist you to check them out if your into Electroacoustic/ Acoustic. They have a new CD coming out next year called Our Small Town EP and so far I think its going to be really good. 
  

• This Century was touring with The Summer Set, and i think they played a really good show, I really enjoyed watching them and singing along, (because they are one of my favorite bands)   http://www.myspace.com/thiscentury

• This Is Anfield, they were pretty good, that was the first night i ever heard of them. They are from Salt Lake City Utah and I think you should check them out and see what you think of them. http://www.myspace.com/anfieldmusic Also they are playing a show on, 10/24/2009 8:00 PM at Velour (Storytellers Show w/ Allred - ACOUSTIC) 135 N. University Avenue, Provo, Utah 84601 Cost: $10 if you like them this should be a good show. This Is Anfield will be opening for Allred.
